In The Harbor sits down with the investors, founders, athletes and executives who built something worth understanding — and asks how.
Where sports, leisure, and finance meet. It sounds like a strange pairing until you hear one. A private credit manager who played college hockey. An Olympic rower now writing venture checks. An ESPN anchor who grew up in a rink. The Harbor is where those lives overlap, and the conversations are better for it.
The show is hosted by Jason Johns with Sean Ritchlin, published by Rock Harbor, and produced from Birmingham, Michigan. New episodes every other week.
About the hosts
Jason Johns
Jason grew up on his family's ranch outside Deer Lodge, Montana, where he learned early that the best stories come from people who've done the work. After graduating from the University of Montana, he started his career at BlackRock, where he spent 11 years.
Today Jason is Head of RIA Distribution at Rock Harbor, where he partners with RIAs, family offices and financial advisors to find differentiated investment managers. That work puts him across the table from founders, allocators and operators every week. In The Harbor grew out of those conversations.
With co-host Sean Ritchlin, Jason talks with guests across finance, business, sports and culture — from economists like Nouriel Roubini and Joe Zidle to founders whose careers rarely followed a straight line. He's drawn to the turns, the risks, and the moments that shaped how his guests think.

Sean Ritchlin
Sean founded Rock Harbor in 2014 to partner with asset managers bringing investment solutions to advisors across the country. Before that he was the top wholesaler for AXA Distributors across Michigan and Indiana, covering wirehouse and bank firms, and earlier served as Regional Marketing Director for Lincoln Financial.
He also calls college hockey nationally for ESPN, and played on two national championship teams at Michigan under Red Berenson. That combination — wholesale distribution and a life in hockey — is more or less the thesis of this show.
